Traveling together is a good way to ‘test’ your relationship. Although, “point #5 Do we have to spend our whole trip together” could get you into hot water. If the relationship is brand spanking new, you may want to spend the entire trip together. However, if you’ve been dating or married for over a year, you may want to spend time a part and see how it goes.

Before you embark on your first trip, sit down and get everything out in the open. Hash out details like where you’ll stay and who handles what. If you travel with an open mind, you shouldn’t have a problem.

Traveling together is very rewarding but you have to know yourself and each other, particularly if you are going long term. Obviously it is not for everyone and the time to ask the hard questions is before you set out.
